Preeminent Research | Atrium Health Foundation We will advance research by fueling Atrium Health discovery, creativity and innovative research projects to create a better world for all. We will develop more novel and advanced treatments, increase access to clinical trials right here in our community, improve medical research capabilities, and create interdisciplinary centers and state-of-the-art labs.

Breakthroughs can happen anywhere – from our leading-edge translational research labs where we explore basic sciences; to clinical trials that push the forefront of medicine; and operating rooms, where we are pioneering the most innovative surgical techniques.

Increase national recognition and prominence of Atrium Health and Wake Forest School of Medicine in key areas, including Aging and Mobility, Alzheimer's Disease, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes & Obesity, Pain & Addiction and Regenerative Medicine.

Build Charlotte's innovation district, known as the Pearl, while at the same time continuing to expand the Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem, connecting the two through the Innovation Corridor.
